about us
Discover Our Story
Jackie and Richard are a husband-and-wife duo with a shared passion for pottery, firing, and woodturning. They love collaborating to create unique pieces that blend ceramics and wood, bringing together the best of both crafts.
This is their first ever shop. Before this, they’ve only opened their home studio to the public a handful of times. Their products aren’t about fancy designs but focus on everyday items that each have their own individual charm and character.

Meet the makers
Jackie
Jackie is one half of Turn & Fire, She is the one behind the pottery. Her love for wild firing has led her to explore the world of naked raku, obvara, and experimental glazing. The result? beautifully imperfect, one-of-a-kind pieces that are impossible to replicate. Join her for a full day of hands-on pottery firing including three handmade pots (provided for you) to decorate and fire using three different techniques. You'll also get a light vegan lunch, plus tea, coffee, and home-baked cakes.
Richard
Richard is the other half of Turn & Fire, and is driven by the simple joy of discovering what can emerge from a raw piece of wood. Join him for a one-to-one woodturning day, where you’ll create your own candlestick or bowl and enjoy a hands-on introduction to this rewarding craft. If you’ve never tried woodturning before, come along for a day and see just how satisfying it is to shape something beautiful with your own hands.
Rose
Rose is a passionate printmaker with seven years of linocutting experience, blending her background in art history with a love for hands-on creativity and teaching. Rose's one-day workshop is a fun, hands-on introduction to linocut printmaking. You’ll learn to design, carve, and print your own block, leaving with at least one finished print to take home. The session is designed to inspire creativity and give you the confidence to continue experimenting with linocut at home.
Molly
Molly is a fully qualified interior designer with a passion for making great design accessible. She’s dedicated to helping people simplify the process of creating beautiful, functional spaces and is excited to launch a series of interactive workshops designed to spark inspiration. Through hands-on sessions exploring colour, texture, and pattern, Molly will guide participants in experimenting with ideas and building confidence in their own style.
Leila
Leila is well known for her charming greengrocer shop, Rhubarb, right next door to Turn & Fire. Renowned not only for her top-quality produce but also for her natural talent in floristry, Leila creates stunning wreaths and dried flower displays that truly catch the eye. Her creative approach combines seasonal blooms and textures to craft unique, beautiful pieces. Why not learn her secrets and make your own beautiful arrangements?
Could it be you?
Have a creative skill you’d love to share? We’re always open to exploring new collaborations — but we’re selective about who we work with to make sure it’s the right fit. If our values and vibe align, we’d love to chat and see what we could create together.
